Beauty Body Home's Spring Cleaning Secrets

With Spring comes an opportunity to clear the clutter, ditch the dirt and shed the winter blues!

While deep cleaning the house may seem overwhelming if you spring into actions with tips you will become the Queen of clean.

CLEAR THE CLUTTER

If you don't love it or use it, it's clutter! Prior to dusting and cleaning, clear space and tackle one room or area at a time with two trash bags or bins, separating donations from garbage.

CURATE A CLEANING KIT

Before you roll up your sleeves, take stock of your cleaning supplies to ensure you have everything you need. Keep an edited, easy-to-maintain cleaning caddy or basin under every sink to maximize efficiency. Our Seasonal Cleaning Kit is a great start.

SKIP THE LINT

Forgo the paper towels - not only are they wasteful, they also leave lint and residue. Check out ways we use Lint-free cleaning cloths to remove dirt and dust, deodorize surfaces, wipe down windows and dry dishes.

WINDOWS OF OPPORTUNITY

The best time to clean windows is on a cloudy day or early in the morning/late afternoon. Heat from direct sunlight can cause streaks to appear. Using Bare's Peppermint Window and Glass Cleaner will also help eliminate streaks and leave nothing but a fresh scent behind.

DUST DOWN

When dusting, I always follow the top-to-bottom method. You'll clean faster by allowing dust, crumbs, and debris to fall to the floor as you work your way down. Follow by vacuuming after.

GET RID OF "BED" THOUGHTS

Flip and steam the mattress and start with fresh sheets. Many organizational gurus stress the importance of organizing the storage under the bed - and never store paperwork under the bed. It's believed to bring bad vibes and effect sleeping habits.

SWITCH UP SCENTS

I like making laundry enjoyable by switching up the scents for different loads.

REWARD RESULTS

Finally, reward yourself and admire the results of your efforts! To liven up clean spaces, I like to light a candle for a fresh finish using a Lothantique Bouquet de Lili candle and room spray. I further enhance the theme by using room diffusers making the house smell like a beautiful garden.
